Salesforce Just Turned Its CRM Inside Out at Dreamforce 2026

 

Salesforce's Dreamforce 2026 just wrapped in San Francisco — 53,000 people in the room, 10 million watching online — and CEO Marc Benioff used it to declare the era of the "Agentic Enterprise." The pitch: your CRM shouldn't be a place you log into anymore. It should follow you into the tools where you already work. Here's what actually launched.

AIforce: Salesforce Goes Where You Work

AIforce is a live interface layer that exposes Salesforce data, workflows, business logic and permissions to AI interfaces outside the CRM. Ask questions, update records, trigger workflows from Claude, Slack, Google Gemini Enterprise or Amazon Q — without ever opening a Salesforce dashboard. Agents can examine hundreds of connected records at once, reason over them, and act, all inside the permissions already configured in Salesforce. Salesforce confirmed zero data retention across every version, and customer data is not used to train the underlying models.

ClaudeForce: Your CRM, Inside Claude

The headline flavour of AIforce is ClaudeForce: Salesforce inside Claude, built as a pre-configured MCP server with 37 prebuilt sales skills ready from day one. It is now in open beta via AppExchange and Claude's Enterprise Marketplace. Salesforce and Anthropic already run it internally as "customer zero," with around 4,000 daily active users. The keynote demo built an entire Salesforce command centre just by talking to Claude — surfacing deal signals, flagging a stalled mid-six-figure deal in a security review, and sending a Slack message to the team, all without touching a CRM screen.

Koa: A Reasoning Model Built for CRM

Koa is Salesforce's first purpose-built CRM reasoning model, developed with NVIDIA. Instead of pointing a general-purpose model at sales data, Koa is trained to reason through CRM workflows — making decisions, using tools, and completing tasks step by step. It is already in pilot with customers including Formula 1, Xero, 1-800Accountant, Baxter Credit Union and UChicago Medicine, with US general availability planned for winter 2026.

Seven Job-Ready Agents — and 100,000 Coworker Users

Agentforce matured from a build-your-own platform into job-ready agents:  Piper for inbound pipeline, Hunter for outbound sales, Casey for customer service, Paige for operations, Fin for finance, Carter for commerce, and Marshall for supply chain and HR. New capabilities include long-horizon execution over days or weeks, multi-agent orchestration, and an Agent Optimizer that improves performance over time. Agentforce Coworker — the agentic layer on top of the Lightning interface, first announced in May — hit 100,000 users within its first 35 days. And Builder Central lets teams describe a business need in plain language and get data models, agents, flows, validations and tests generated for them.

Why It Matters

The throughline is simple: Salesforce is betting the CRM interface disappears. If AIforce works as demoed, the next generation of sales work happens in chat — Claude, Slack, wherever — with Salesforce as the data and logic layer underneath. Meta's Muse just got voice and app-building Spaces the same week — the agent race is moving fast. Benioff even dismissed the "AI will kill software" chatter as "crazy nonsense." His argument is that software isn't dying, it's becoming invisible. The open question is trust: agents acting across hundreds of records need the governance layer, the new Enterprise AI Harness, to hold up in the real world, not just on the keynote stage.

For Salesforce customers, ClaudeForce in open beta is the thing to try today. For everyone else, this is the clearest signal yet that the CRM wars are now agent wars — and the agents are moving into every app you already use.
