XPENG's G9L Global Launch: The AI SUV That's Part Car, Part Robot

 Chinese EV maker XPENG just showed the world what it means when a car and a robot share the same brain. On Monday at the 91st Paris Motor Show (October 12–18, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles), the company globally launched the G9L, its “Next-Gen AI Flagship SUV” — the centerpiece of a 1,000+ square metre “Physical AI Museum” in Hall 6. The details Offered in BEV and REEV versions, the G9L is what XPENG calls an AI-defined vehicle. Its intelligent driving runs on the VLA 2.0 model, built for fast cross-region generalization — and powering it all is the Turing AI chip, the very same processor inside XPENG’s IRON humanoid robot. That shared chip is the core of XPENG’s “Physical AI” pitch: one ecosystem spanning the full tech stack, AI vehicles, humanoid robots (mass production of IRON is advancing), flying cars and Robotaxi.
