For a decade, "AI on the go" has meant apps on your phone. But at IFA 2026 in Berlin this week, the standout trend wasn't another chatbot — it was AI breaking out of the glass rectangle. A phone the size of a playing card with its own AI operating system. Smart glasses that translate conversations in real time. A tiny pin that takes your meeting notes for you. Four gadgets, one message: AI is moving onto your body.
A phone that gives AI its own operating system
The iKKO MindOne stops you mid-scroll. It's card-sized — about 86 × 72 × 8.9 mm and 136 grams — with an almost-square AMOLED display. Instead of bolting AI features onto Android, iKKO pairs Android 15 with a separate iKKO AI OS: a dedicated home for AI Chat, AI Translation, AI Notes, AI Study, and AI Podcast. There's also a 50MP Sony camera that flips 180 degrees, so one lens handles selfies and rear shots, plus split connectivity: Nano SIM and vSIM for Android apps, and NovaLink for the AI tools. Smart glasses, two ways
Two different pairs at IFA showed how AI on your face splits into two jobs. The RayNeo X3 Pro goes for the everyday assistant: a full-color binocular MicroLED display running RayNeo AIOS with Google Gemini built in — voice questions, real-time translation, and heads-up navigation, plus a built-in camera for photos and video, a teleprompter, and meeting transcription. The BleeqUp Ranger is the sporty cousin: camera glasses with a 120-degree field of view, electronic image stabilization, and open-ear audio with calling — up to eight hours of audio playback or one hour of continuous recording. Its AI watches your footage, picks the highlights, and assembles short videos so you don't have to.
A pin that does your homework after the meeting
The Plaud NotePin weighs just 16.6 grams and clips to your shirt. Two MEMS microphones pick up voices up to three meters away for 20 hours straight. Afterwards, AI turns the audio into transcripts, speaker-labeled notes, and summaries in 112 languages. You stay in the conversation; it does the follow-up.
Why this matters
None of these devices will replace your phone tomorrow — and that's the point. AI hardware is still finding its shape. But every gadget here solves the same friction: reaching for your phone breaks your flow. Whether it's glasses that translate mid-conversation or a pin that remembers the meeting for you, the winning formula won't be more AI features. It'll be AI that shows up without you having to ask.
